NOTICE: Important Information for Passengers
The participation of Artful Travelers and participating Public Broadcasting Stations in PTV at Sea voyages is limited to the onboard educational seminars. They assume no responsibility or liability in connection with the services provided by the cruise line. Artful Travelers' and the participating Public Broadcasting Stations' reputations for meeting their professional obligations are distinguished, and both parties are very much looking forward to hosting passengers on PTV at Sea cruises, as are all invited speakers. However, if they or any of the guest speakers are prevented, for reasons beyond their control, from speaking on a selected cruise, no claim can be processed against Artful Travelers and participating Public Broadcasting Stations. In the unlikely event that a speaker cancellation occurs, the cruise-ship sailing and other onboard seminars will still take place and pre-registered passengers are encouraged to maintain their plans. If a passengers or passengers decide to cancel, the cruise line's cancellation policy will apply. Cruise participants may want to consider purchasing cancellation protection insurance.
Sponsors and speakers are independent business people or entities not subject to Artful Travelers' direction or control. Artful Travelers has no standing and no means or processes by which to adequately monitor or control a sponsor's or a speaker's oral or written representations. Artful Travelers cannot investigate transactions by sponsors or evaluate the merits of any dispute with a sponsor. In these circumstances, Artful Travelers suggests that if a dispute arises with a sponsor or a speaker, it should be pursued directly with the sponsor or speaker and, if the situation worsens, any available remedy under appropriate law or regulations should be considered.
Artful Travelers reserves the right to use the name, likeness and/or photograph of passengers taken at a PTV at Sea event for its own promotional purposes.
All content/material presented at an Artful Travelers event is protected under U.S. and international copyright laws. By attending, participants agree not to copy, reproduce, record, videotape, photograph, upload, post, transmit, publish or distribute any material in any form, other than for personal use, without the express written permission of Artful Travelers. Exceptions are reserved only for members of the press with pre-approved press credentials from Artful Travelers.
By attending a PTV at Sea event, participants acknowledge that Artful Travelers has a legitimate business interest in attracting sponsors, speakers, media partners, other attendees, and other participants (collectively "Participants") to the Event. Based on this, and as consideration for Artful Travelers granting a passenger's request to participate in an event, passengers hereby agree that, during the term of the event, they will not distribute materials or solicit other Participants at the event in connection with any investment product or service or any product, service or activity similar in nature to any product, service or activity promoted by or conducted by Artful Travelers or by Participants at an event. Artful Travelers reserves the right to exclude from an event any Participant who violates the terms of this agreement.
